My 5 would be:
Bernier
Karlsson
Grachev
Blum
Ellis
with maybe Kane ahead of Grachev.
Lots of very good D prospects with some above average forward prospects.
Should I drop Makarov for any of the following???
Shawn Matthias
Ted Purcell
Eric Tangradi
Jiri Tlusty
Viktor Stalberg
Brett Maclean
Michael Grabner
Kevin Porter
Mathieu Perreault
Erik Karlsson
Colin Wilson
Zach Boychuk
Jon Blum
Ryan Ellis
It's a 5 player farm and I can keep players from yr to yr if they have not amassed 100 nhl games.
I currently have:
Jonathan Bernier
Michal Neuvirth
Evgeny Grachev
Evander Kane
Igor Makarov
Should I drop anyone else and add from the list?

I own Makarov in a keeper league and I think it's almost time to cut bait. I wouldn't hesitate to add any of the following for him.
Erik Karlsson
Colin Wilson
Zach Boychuk
Jon Blum
I like your farm, but i think you would be safe dropping makarov. Out of that list, I'd really look at Maclean, karlsson, boychuk, blum and ellis. I'm a big Maclean fan, and from what I have read about him, it's only a matter of time before he makes the jump. Not sure of your positional requirements either, but he is a winger and a goal scorer and should fit in nicely in the coming seasons with the rest of that young core in phoenix.
Cheers and good luck!

Some tough choices there - lots of promise. I will go on record as well with MacLean - I think he is going to be very good.
But I think you have a greater need for RW developers than anything else so I think you need to look at Purcell, Grabner and Porter. Not sure which I would take - sure liked the looks of Grabner before he go injured though.
Am I missing something here?
Makarov is going to be on the Hawks next year, stepping into a lineup that should have some some solid talent and room for him as they trim players to resign Toews, Kane, and Keith.
Why the dropsie label?
I would definitely drop him for Brett MacLean.

3 pts in 24 games now? Drop him for Colin Wilson.
Bernier - Will be ready to play when the team is (ready to challenge for the Cup)
Kane - Has value (trade him away for someone you want)
Grachev - Seems to be a solid Center and adapting to the NA game very well.
Makarov - should gain some 2nd line wing time with the injury prone blackhawks.
Ellis - Solid puck mover. should be a good QB

Addicted to trading....sigh
You held on to him for so long, why not wait until next year. Take a look and see how he plays in the NHL, with a good team.
The players available will be there next year or if not them similar type players.
Don't jump off the wagon just before he plays next year. The others have more hype and you hear about them because they are in North America.
3 points in 24 games is not indicative of how he will play in the NHL. He may not be getting good playing time and with good players.
Who knows but I would hold on for another year.
