    Default Quick?

Something up with Quick? Another manager in my league who already owns Ersberg picked up Bernier late last night. I wasn't sure if Quick got hurt or he is speculating about who will be the backup and get some starts.

It's possible they noticed how great Bernier is playing in the minors and thought they would scoop him up before someone else did. If anything did happens to either goalie Bernier would be called up, and he has the talent to stay up if given the chance.

Bernier doesn't have the NHL experience yet.

Look at Rask. He is very good, but not ready to be a full time NHL starter yet.

    Hence Quick.

    He is going nowhere

Thanks, let me ask this. The manager that has these Kings goalies also has Huet. Should I try to move Quick for him? Huey would be a better choice over the short term, but I'm giving up alot of age.

    Hmm ballsy move.

    High risk/reward.

Might be worth the offer, but I think that their stats will probably be pretty close by the end of the year.

Quick will start more games - but Huet will still pretty much win just as much.

Sv% should be similar. GAA might goto Huet - just because of the Hawks defense.

@rookie, one of my writers just posted something on Huet, and how he is being undervalued.

Might be worth a quick read. I haven't followed Huet closely, but I did see the Hawks dominate LA last night w/ Huet in.

Quick's save % is down to .898. For whatever reason he's generally escaped the criticism that other stuggling goalies have garnered. Maybe because LA's offense has been so good thus far. Bernier's also been awesome in the AHL. And Quick is hardly proven, being only slightly older (and less touted) than Bernier.

That being said, I have my doubts if anything is imminent here. But I'd prefer Huet. Chicago is a better squad, and Huet's GAA is nice even with a sub-par start. Huet's clearly ahead of Niemi right now.
