Pavelec and Bolland for S. Mason
Just got offered Steve Mason for my Pavelec and Bolland. I've been looking to upgrade my goaltending - in fact, just picked up Pavelec off the waiver wire yesterday. Am I crazy not to jump at this?
The only reason I'm hesitating is that Mason hasn't looked great lately. Sophomore slump? Will he work through it soon? I've already got two young stars-in-waiting in Price and Varlamov; what I really need is someone to give me solid numbers as a #2 man this year, alongside my #1 Nabby.
I love Bolland. In addition to all the usual categories, we count shorthanded points and faceoff wins, and he's good in those areas. But it's not often a guy like Mason comes available.
