    Default Brown/Del Zotto for Savard

Hey guys - I've been a big fan of the forum for some time but this is my first post.

I am in a one-year 13 team roto (yahoo) - categories are G, A, +/-, PIM, PPP, SHP, GWG, SOG for skaters and W, SV%, GAA, SO for goalies.

    My team (we use C, W, D, Util and G - start 3 C, 5W, 4 D, 1 Util and 2 G):

    C - Malkin
    C - Ribeiro
    C - Brassard
    C/W - A. McDonald
    C/W - Briere
    W- Nash
    W – Kariya
    W - Doan
    W - Brown
    W - Tanguay
    W - JVR
    D - Weber
    D - Barker
    D - Whitney
    D - Del Zotto
    G - Fleury
    G - Rinne
    G - Ellis
G - Schneider (just picked up with Luongo out)

I have been targetting Savard hoping I can get him at a resonable price since he is injured. The latest offer would be Savard for my Brown and Del Zotto.

D men on the waiver of interest include Niskanen and Wiesniewski (Sp?) - I am thinking Niskanen to fill the void on D.

Any thoughts? Is this a good trade? I am currently in 1st so wondering if I should leave well enough alone. There are 5 of us that could take the top spot position at any time.

    Any insight greatly appreciated.

    Anyone? Any thoughts appreciated.

Is this even close to a reasonable deal?

Savard would certainly tighten up your "C" nicely.

My concern would be what are your wing options in the pool? Right now neither one of McDonald or Briere is going to help you out much at wing.

Wisniewski is a passable replacement for DZ until someone else gets hot "D" wise.

I thnk u will leave your d fragile since u start 4.if one of the top3 goes down, doesn't sound like there's good pickings left on your waiver wire.savard is elite but I think your c's are strong enough at the moment

Thanks guys - truly appreciated. You both touched on my lingering concerns with the trade which makes me think my fantasy hockey barometer is not totally out of whack. Looks like the other manager is having second thoughts so it may not even be my decision.

    Cheers.
