i\'d go quebec, then the women\'s hockey league
I was reading the CHL prospects magazine and couldn\'t pass up sharing this article with you guys. I thought it was pretty interesting and had a hell of a time deciding which team I thought was best! They took the best players from the WHL, OHL, and QMJHL and created what would be the Olympic team from each CHL division.
WHL
Goal:
Chris Osgood/Carey Price/Cam Ward
Defence:
Jay Bouwmeester/Mike Green/Scott Neidermayer/Dion Phaneuf Robyn Regehr/Sheldon Souray/Shea Weber
Forwards:
Shane Doan/Ryan Getzlaf/Scott Hartnell/Jarome Iginla/Daymond Lankkow/Joffry Lupul/Patrick Marleau Brenden Morrow/Joe Sakic/Decin Setoguchi/Ryan Smyth/Ray Whitney
Spares:
Eric Brewer/Duncan Keith/Kris Versteeg
OHL
Goal:
Alex Auld/Manny Legace/Steve Mason
Defence:
Brent Burns/Brian Campbell/Drew Doughty/Ed Jovanovksi Chris Pronger/Marc Staal/Dennis Wideman
Forwards:
Todd Bertuzzi/Brad Boyes/Jeff Carter/Rick Nash
Corey Perry/Mike Richards/Derek Roy/Marc Savard/Jason Spezza
Spares:
Jason Arnott/Kris Draper/Kyle Quincey
QMJHL
Goal:
Martin Brodeur/Marc-Andre Fleury/Roberto Luongo
Defence:
Francois Beauchemin/Marc-Andre Bergeron/Philippe Boucher
Denis Gauthier/Kristopher Letang/Stephane Robidas/Edouard Vlasic
Forwards:
Patrice Bergeron/Pierre-Marc Bouchard/Daniel Briere/Ryane Clowe/Sidney Crosby/J.P. Dumont/Simon Gagne/Vincent Lecavalier/Mike Ribeiro/Brad Richards/Michael Ryder/Alex Tanguay
Spares:
Derick brassard/Bruno Gervais/David Perron
All these teams are pretty spectacular! Some have their weaknesses, but thos weaknesses tend to be made up by super-strength in other areas! For example QMJHL has lackluster defence, but incredible goaltending, OHL has deadly forwards but there is something left to wish for in the goaltending department. The WHL seems to be the most well rounded out of them all, but is still a little weak in the goaltending department in comparison to the QMJHL.
I\'d take the DUB, who would you take!??!

I think any one of those teams could medal, but the combination may not even beat Russia.
Anyways, I\'d take the Q. They have what could be the exact goaltending trio as well as the best player in the world, arguably, but most certainly best of those three teams.

I like the Q because of the goaltending. The D is good enough and the forwards are led by Sidney and Vinnie.
I JUST read that article today. It\'s the kind of little gem you hope to find in hockey magazines. I love the Q except for their defense which is really weak by comparison. Great article.
Nice article- except in the Q why not have Krejci and Voracek on the squad?
My keeper squad on this 10 team, no positional requirement league (except 1 goalie and 1 NHL team). Points only: Parise, Kopitar, Hemsky, Brunette, J Staal, Okposo, Doan, Roy, O.Jokinen, Giroux, Krejci, Oshie, Eberle, Little, Filpulla, Steen, Filatov, Hudler, H.Lundqvist, + NHL Team LA.
Because they\'re not Canadian...

Unless there\'s something I don\'t understand or didn\'t read right here, nowhere does it say that they need to be.

id take the dub
Man, nice find.
I would take the Dub (W).
By far the best D, very good mix of forwards, and Ward and Osgood could carry the load.
The Q has unreal goaltending, great forwards, but that Defense looks suspect - the goaltending would have to be stellar every game against the better teams.
Great article.
Cheers.
