 I was just thinking the same thing. That organization is good with dealing with lunatic netminders.

Smart move. Low risk, high reward. Emery is extremely talented. The Flyers are also cap heavy at D and F, so they need to remain cheap at the G position.

Yo angus, Emery would be a nice bridge to get us to Summer \'10 when Mr. Luongo sports the Orange And Black as the \"Final Piece\" free agent signee of the summer.

    One can dream, no?

My bad... I thought it was for JBO straight up. If it is for the rights to negotiate a deal, then take it.

I dont think highly of Jones so I would look at it as Lupul and 1st for JBo. They could do better for a solid Dman.

As far as Emery is concerned, Id rather have a blue chip prospect that is stuck behind a goalie. cough Schneider, Halak, Harding, even Anderson cough.

Could you imagine the refs going into any Flyers game? Bad enough right now with Carcillo getting scrutinized with every play.

Jones was playing hurt this year. I\'m not his biggest fan but I don\'t think he was 100%.

regardless of where Emery ends up, it\'ll be on the cheap. I can\'t see any team giving him more than $1,000,000 to see if he can reclaim his career.

Besides, Ottawa is still paying him some decent coin...

Emery had a base salary of $2m in Russia with $500k in incentives. His agent says that it may not take much more than that to lure him back to the NHL as Emery will explore the best option possible.

I think this would be a great move by the flyers. I have always thought emery is a great goalie, and he played very well in the playoff run. I think that if he returns to the NHL, he will not be such a head case this time, and will be a lot more professional. Low risky, High reward.
