Backstrom. Easy choice.
Alright...I turn to all of you, the intelligent fantasy players who frequent dobberhockey.com, to lend me a hand on this one:
I have Kipper playing for me in Week 1 and I need to start one of my other two goaltenders. Who would you go with?
Backstrom - Minnesota plays at home to Chicago and at Columbus (seems like two favorable matchups).
Budaj - Colorado plays 3 games - home to Dallas, at Nashville and then home to San Jose (two of the games look pretty tough with a trip to play the Preds and then a home tilt against the vaunted Sharks!).
It seems like Backstrom has the matchup advantage while Budaj has the advantage of playing (or potentially playing)3 games rather than just 2.
Who do you go with???

Backstrom. Easy choice.
"For I am a sinner in the hands of an angry God. Bloody Mary, full of vodka, blessed are you among cocktails. Pray for me now and at the hour of my death, which I hope is soon. Amen." - Sterling Archer
"Don't spray that urine on my sons window. If you want a dollar for doing nothing, walk to Canada." - Malory Archer
“Anyone who thinks the pen is mightier than the sword has not been stabbed with both.” - Lemony Snicket
ya easy choice Backstrom.

Are you guys sure it is that easy when I can earn points for a 3rd game if Budaj were to play all 3?? Do you guys figure he sits one as they do have back to back games on Wednesday and Thursday? Or do you feel that it is an easy call because of the clubs the two goaltenders are scheduled to play?
I think Budaj will play all 3 games since Theodore is still trying to get in shape... It\'s a tough call but I think I would go with the guy you had rated higher on draft day.

im guessing its h2h...which means goalie starts are almost meaningless...
if you start either two, you should be able to get your min requirements.
And starts don\'t matter unless they count (which you havent mentioned) but really, is this really a question?
backstrom vs two weaker teams or budaj vs better teams? i dont quite see the rationale to your question

I can accumulate more points theoretically if I play the 3-game guy. It is a combination H2H/Roto league in which you play another club (winner gets 2 points) and you are battling all 10 teams for highest total by forwards, defense, utility and goalies.
