1 year H2H league, stats in signature (no pims/sog). Was just offered this deal.
His Ovechkin/Khabibulin for
My Hossa/Boyle/Conklin
He has Osgood/Khabibulin while I have Huet/Conklin.
Would I be giving up too much in this deal? Should I ask for Kronwall back in exchange?
I\'m currently sitting 8th in my league, and might catch up to 5th or 6th place. So that would mean playing in the quarterfinals where the players have this many games that week:
Ovechkin = 4 games
Khabibulin = 4 games
Hossa = 2 games
Boyle = 4 games
Conklin = 2 games
i\'m not sure you\'re getting this if you ask for Kronwall too and i don\'t really see this helping you much in a 1 yr league either. as much as i\'d love this deal in a keeper a 1 yr league changes the focus a lot so that you have to consider whether those 2 and a waiver add produce more than the 3 you\'re giving up. i don\'t see that happening so i\'d stay with what you got. now, if you ask for Kronwall and if by some miracle you get that then go ahead then great for you.
At this time, it looks like Khabby might be damaged goods with his injury. Making this a very easy decision to refuse the trade. At minimum, Conklin will get 3:1 starts the rest of the way. But if Osgood drops the ball, you might see a 50/50 split in DET.
In addition, you lose out big time with an eventual 3 empty spots for your defensemen. Boyle and Ryan Whitney should be untouchable on your team.
Refuse the trade or negotiate from a position of strength.
