So I sit down at 7 PM thinking I'm going to watch game 3 but nope! Guessing the game was on ABC so it wasn't on my Sling to record. 11 minute highlight package it is. Oh well..... at least the Rags won! Damn.....Laffy looked great. Maybe he'll just be a late bloomer but still become a star player.

this is exact video I saw… he starts high and I think that’s where confusion is but when he makes contact with the puck his hands appear to be straight out from his body and stick is below his shoulders

Ya 100%. Shows that refs allow almost anything in OT unless they HAVE to call something. And Wheeler attached to the Panther for like 7ft without moving his feet was something that HAD to be called, and they didn't even have the balls to call it properly.

The D went on a change. Because it's OT they switch sides so it's the long change. Zib skated in with full control, so the D thought they had a good opportunity to go for it, but Zib made an awful pass. But in the confusion, it looks like 2 D came off, and 1D jumped on. I also don't think the D on the bench were expecting a change, as they didn't jump on right away. They might have been watching the play actually.

It's not on the D that were on the ice. And depending on the shift length of the D coming off, I'm not going to blame them either, they thought Zib wasn't going to do something dumb.

So at the very least if there is a turnover - that one D-man is back and ready to take the rush.

Ya but if they're in the zone for a hard shift, they might have just been thinking "get off when you can".

I do agree with you tho, long change means D have to be fully aware of everything, and forwards tend to forget about D needing more time on the long change.
