Solid game from Skinner. He played really well. A couple weird bounces were the reason for the goals more than his play. If he can keep that up, the Oilers will be in good shape.

The PK and defensive game from the Oilers so far in the playoffs is nothing short of outstanding. They have really found a way to play D under Knoblauch like we havent seen in some time. This isn't the same Oilers team we're used to seeing in the McDavid era.

The 4th line last night was also excellent. They didnt score but found a way to get some good offensive pressure pretty much every shift they got. Really impressed with their play last night too.

All in all, this was a solid effort from the Oilers. Both teams played well but the Oilers will be happy to walk out of Dallas with a split at the very least, if not steal a 2nd game.

The OT was some spectacular hockey. Glad I woke up early to watch before work!

I am in the Maritimes so it was a late night for me. Thankfully I am off today.

Not to mention the poetic Justice of McDavid scoring the winner.
Between taking the double-minor and then getting robbed on the open net, you know McDavid wanted the winner.
The immediate point to Bouchard for the excellent assist was awesome to see.

Grip time: What the HELL is with the camera locations in the Dallas arena? You can't see the bottom 6-feet of ice and it gets a lot worse when the fans are standing up (full credit to the fans for standing for all of the OT period but it makes for a terrible viewing experience).

This is going to be a great series!

That Johnston, Stankoven, Benn line is fun to watch. That Tanev deal was the best deal of the deadline. The Dallas D is playing great defense. And Bouchard is a helluva player. I didn't know he was that good. Skinner is rock solid. Weird how lost he was last series. Holloway's got some giddy-up. Does he fit in the power forward games-played development guide?

It's interesting how DeBoer is sheltering Suter and Petrovic. He doesn't have an awful 3rd pair getting less than 10 minutes per game rather he puts Suter with Heiskanen and Petrovic with Harley. Suter was awful in last year's playoffs but he was asked to do too much. He's getting under 20 minutes per game in these playoffs and he's been fine.

Another good game last night. Both teams played sound D. Oettinger kept the Stars in it in the 1st and allowed his team to get it together. Really could have gone either way. It's funny how many thought the Stars were going to run over the Oilers. Very close series so far. Tight.

To be fair, the Oilers have played much better than they did in the Vancouver series. If you had told me Skinner would be this good and Hintz wouldn't return, I would have picked more than a 5-game series.

Without minimizing Edmonton’s play so far, I think Hintz return could have a massive effect on this series. His two-way game is crucial for Dallas in those tight checking situations.

Makes sense. McLeod has struggled a bit recently for sure.

I was wondering who was going to come out when Henrique is back. I like McLeod, but he's made some bonehead mistakes of late. Hopefully, Henrique can contribute and not show too much rust.

I watched the first two periods then fell asleep.

2 completely different periods by both teams, so weird.
