....win their current series (they should) which of them will win round 3 when they play each other? Thanks guys. Doing a little advanced prep and appreciate hearing your thoughts.

I believe you mean fourth aka the Stanley Cup Final because they would potentially play each other in round 3. IF it was to go down it's tough to say but Florida is very deep. Naturally I want NYR to move on but I won't be looking past Carolina at this point in time. Lafreniere is blossoming at the right time and that gives me hope for this run, time will tell.

A hurt player can be replaced by another F/D from HIS NHL team and this is NOT considered a trade.. Injured player can be put back on team any time.

I think this is very close, 51-49 kind of situation, but I will go with the Rangers. I just think they have a pinch more talent and depth.

I predicted FLA to make the SCF at the start of the playoffs. Nothing has changed for me.

If it's NYR v FLA - I give the edge to FLA (though I'd call it 6, not 7 games).
They're a more physical team, and like we saw with Boston on the questionable goal last night, teams that lose their heads against physical play can cost themselves more through lack of composure after an event.
NYR's biggest strength is their power play; in 5v5 play over the regular season they were only a +1 (166 GF, 165 GA) & in the playoffs they're a +3 (16GF, 13GA).
But that means their weakness is in 5v5, where FLA was 155 GF, 119 GA in the regular season...
Doesn't bode well for the boys in blue.
Regular season series also 2-1 in FLA's favor - BUT each meeting decided by only 1 goal (if you ignore an empty netter).
I think it'll be a fantastic series to watch.

that was a cringe inducing effort to watch by NYR. But in my thirty years of fandom they've always been allergic to making things easy on themselves, no shock there! Better play the game of their lives Thursday...
