If you had to guess, how many points do you see him having for the 2024-2025 season in the NHL?

0 - 40 is my guess, I think the possibility of that is about 75%, obviously he should be significantly closer to 40 than 0. He has a 20% chance of hitting 40 - 55 and a 5% chance of 55 - 65 and a 0% chance of hitting for 70 or more. My 2 cents worth (:

Hopefully zero. Staying in college is probably what is best for him.

Yeah, I also think he's going to end up staying in College and playing with Eiserman.

Not going to argue as anything can happen but in last 20 years how many times did 1 st overall pick not play at least few games?

I too think he will stay in college, but if he turns pro I bet he puts up 60+. Kid is good.

How many first overall picks came from college? The most recent one didn’t play any games his D+1 season. Also if you expand it out to top 5 picks, ~most~ recent highly drafted college players don’t play in their D+1 season.

Last one was Owen Power. I'd have to actual go look it up to look at the past 20 yrs.

To answer the OP, IF he plays, I say he's in the 0-40 range. There's not much to work with there right now, and he's not stepping into a top line situation with Couture still there.

    45pts if he plays 70gp+.
SJ still stinks - and there's just not enough complimentary talent.

On another team with better linemates/PP1... he could do 55pts.
There's +10pts out there, for anybody, if their linemates/PP-group is high-end.

SJ is probably still - though - trotting M.Granlund out there as C1, even with Celebrini on their PRO roster.

I would bet around 45 points for him.
not sure if Couture will play again but there is Eklund and maybe Will Smith as talented players to play with.
Will see but the kid is very good so if he play the whole year, he will get a decent amount of points but nothing spectacular.
