Could go plenty of ways when the season ends and tough to predict. So it deserves a poll.

No deal. New coach will try to fix.

Either the answer is "Nothing" or Rob Blake is feeding TSN copious amounts of BS.

    I voted "nothing".

I see PLD as a gamble for any team. The difference for Los Angeles is that he’s an $8.5 million gamble. For any other team, with a little retained salary, that bet on a third overall draft pick who is going into age 26, 27, 28, etc. is only $5.5M. LA has other young options - Akil Thomas, Alex Turcotte - who might well be PLD’s equal soon.

Likely nothing happens, but gotta vote with the gut feeling.

He wasn't a fit with LA this season & they need to move him. This year gets the best value since there is no chance they buy out a contract and adopt a 14 year penalty, but waiting 1 more year means they will need to hold more in a trade because otherwise they're stuck with a much higher buyout penalty.

PLD unhappy again! I'm shocked! ... well, not that shocked.

I voted nothing because of circumstances. Most teams are scared to make moves, Dubois has a record of underperforming on three teams right now, that contract will be an albatross. I thin Blake asks around, but even at 33 percent retained, that's $5 million for a player that could be on your third/fourth line by Christmas.

I would stay far away from him. Let somebody else think they can save him.

Nothing is going to happen with him. He has negative trade value and is too expensive to be bought out assuming the buy out period starts after his birthday. LA will hope he turns it around next year.

Not gonna buy-out this soon into the contract. Just won't happen.
Doubtful the ownership group would even sign-off on that.
So he stays a King, or if a team takes his contract in a trade but not likely.

This is what everyone now sees. Turning it around has to be viewed as the more unlikely scenario. This wasn't the case when they traded for him. The management has to worried about the likelihood of an albatross contract for 8 years during their cup window. If there were any locker room- or coaching issues from his time in LA, I can't believe they would let this potential opportunity pass to remove him from the roster. If everything is fine and they love him there, maybe they'll do nothing. Buying him out now either directly or via trade is cheap enough unless circumstances get in the way, like playoffs dragging out.
