Wow, another 2 years for not a whole lot more than he was making on his ELC. A minimal investment for a 12th overall who could provide big time reward for Chicago. Nice contract for the Hawks IMO.

I watched Reichel and the Hawks probably 4-5 full games last year... and I thought his overall game was very blah - if not... bad.
A lot of us thought he'd be #1 wing-option with Bedard - but it seemed like (from memory) that ended up being Kurashev and Foligno.
VERY hard for a rookie to linemate with another rookie.
A lot of people were also calling for Fantilli to center guys like Kent Johnson & Marchenko with CBJ this year.
I think that was put together for a week or two... and it stunk.
Two-way NHL game for two rookies (or two very young players)... usually... doesn't pan out great.
