The Det/SJ match up would be absolutely killer.
Det embarassed SJ last time, so they were definitely out to get them last night.
Boston like you said, ended up being a real bore.
So tonight we see matchups between Boston/Washington and San Jose/Detroit. These guys are the top 4 teams in the league, and they are living up to their billing.
The Caps/Bruins game was tightly defended, and was playoff worthy quality. It took 2 perfect shots by Semin and Green to beat Thomas and the Bruins defense for the win.
The San Jose/Detroit game (that is going on right now) has an incredible amount of animosity. I\'ve seen more than a dozen huge hits and there\'s still time left in the first period.
Favorite moment so far: The bench reporter was interviewing Setoguchi on the bench during a t.v. timeout, and when Seto said something about \"playing the best team in the league,\" Joe Thornton (who was sitting next to him on the bench) leaned over and said, \"HEY! We\'re the best team in the league!\"
I LOL\'d. Gotta love Jumbo Joe!
But yeah, if we could be lucky enough to see two conference finals consisting of these 4 teams, we could be in store for the best final 2 rounds (including the stanley cup finals) in years.
