Not a huge Campbell fan and not trying to bash the oilers but you have a goalie here that goes from a career .916 sv% and 2.37 GAA prior to edm and then in edm posts 3.29 and .894 in 41 edm games.
It’s a bit of cherry picking, but like steve pointed out earlier, this makes Campbell a scapegoat.
I think the contract is a bit long as he doesn’t have a lot of experience, but there could be some sneaky value here.

He’s never had the mental fortitude to be a starter. If he starts more than 20ish games he turns to mush. Kings knew it. Leafs knew it. Oilers took a chance the track record was wrong but it wasn’t. Here we are.
