    Default Boldy vs Power

Currently considering trading my Boldy for Owen Power. League in sig, points only.

My defense is a hot mess and I'm pretty stacked on offense. I love Power and I think this is the last chance to get him before he becomes untouchable on the other guy's team. Then again, Dahlin is going to be a major roadblock for him in the future, but I could see him flirting with 50 pts every year give or take.

Boldy also looks REALLY promising, so I don't really know what to do. Quality d-men are a rare commodity in my league and they come at a premium, so the trade would probably be 1-on-1, even if Boldy is more productive right now.

    Thoughts?

I like Boldy but if D hold a lot of Value and you are weak at D I think this is a fair trade. Both young promising players.

I don't know. Your D looks OK to me. No disagreement on looking to upgrade, but I'd shop around a little.

I can see the case for a Boldy-Power swap, but don't think it's such a slam dunk in a points only league that you need to jump on it immediately or fear missing out.

Dahlin's presence makes me want to keep Boldy. On talent alone, this deal is perfectly reasonable, but buying Power means accepting a Byram/Sergachev-ish role restriction unless Dahlin gets hurt or Power gets traded. Given Dahlin's and Power's long term contracts, I don't know when that might happen. If I'm trading Boldy to fill a defenseman hole, I'd want a higher ceiling.

I think you hold onto Boldy.
Not doubting Power's ability and what he could be for the Sabres.

However Boldy has already shown and produced above 60 pts and I think he could be into a mid 70's upto ppg player.
I left my previous fantasy hockey league. So just some guy who likes and plays hockey.

Thanks for the advice folks. Think I'll hold on to Boldy and hope he's not out for too long.

    Gave rep where I could.
