Ive been having a lot of offers for my Bedard and this one is interesting so I thought I’d post it here and get some advice if possible

    My Bedard for E. Pettersson

the problem I have with trading Bedard is he’s basically a free keeper for us with our system since we keep a rookie, so whoever I acquire for him would have to replace one of Mack, Tkachuk or Pasta/Shesterkin as my current 3. I’ve had a strong team for years and definitely have a chance to win again this year, but is it worth losing Bedard for this deal or should I hold and wait for a better possible upgrade on my current 3 if I move him? This GM also has J. Hughes who I could potentially ask about too. Team in sig.

I would keep Bedard. Even if it was a true 1for1 with no rookie keeper slot, I wouldn't do it.

Heck no. Especially with the additional slot factor.

I think if you're trading Bedard at this point, especially with your setup, then you only move Bedard for a guaranteed win. EP is great, but he's not a guaranteed win by any means this year, and he's not necessarily an improvement on what you have as a keeper for next year anyways.

That would be a pretty good return but with those settings and Bedard's trajectory I would pass. You should ideally be really blown away to trade him, not just a "seems in the ballpark" offer.

Easy no for me; Bedard this year may have a close output to what E.P. can give you…

Factor in the Tkachuk drop and it ends up being Tkachuk + Bedard for E.P…

Same as everyone else hard no here. In a limited keeper league you want to keep the bet. EP is top for sure but Bedard will be better. I like the hughes upside here but to me your keepers are:

Macky, tkhack, shesh I don’t see even hughes being better keeper here let alone EP.

With the extra slot Bedard is a free keeper where you will have 4 elite keepers next year.

Good luck once he runs out of that status.. start fielding offers for macky next season.

Make sure to get a ton of draft picks back so make it a huge win for the next 3 seasons atleast

Bedard side for sure. I would only trade him for McDavid, Draisaitl, MacKinnon

You simply can't do this sort of deal, especially this early in the year.

You have a free keeper in Bedard. You need a comparable free rookie keeper back. If this was an all eras card hockey league, and you could get a rookie from another era, sure. This ain't that.
