    Default Trade offer

    Would you do this offer.

It’s a 10 team h2h 1 win keeper league. We keep 12 players every year. Skater cats are G,A, pp pts, shots, hits and blocks.

Guy who has 1st overall has out the 1st overall pick up for trade. He had approached me with this offer

I give up Tkachuk. Huberdeau, a 1st … (Joel Erikksson Ek type player)

I get 1st overall and Matty Beniers, and Marchand.

It’s a lot But Bedard has huge potential.plus I’d get beniers.

I finished 6th last year and here is a chance to retool. I have a second rnd pick too.

    Thoughts.

    Thank you for the feedback.

Trade offer is for M Tkachuk.

My keepers post trade would be

    Crosby
    Tavares
    W Nylander
    Cozens.
    E Kane
    BENIERS.
    MARCHAND

    Fox
    E Bouchard
    J Trouba

    Shesterkin
    F Andersen

I’d then have the 1st overall pick (Bedard).

What's the rest of your roster? And which Tkachuk?

I'd still go for it but the extra info would be helpful to see which categories you're lacking. Huberdeau is unlikely to hit PPG again IMO, and I think that's really good value for Bedard as you can get your hits/blocks with non-star players. Losing either Tkachuk hurts, but you have to give to get.
    Team 1:
J Hughes, Cooley (r), Bratt, Laine, M Tkachuk, Necas, A Svechnikov, S Jarvis, M Michkov (r), W Johnston, Zegras, Giroux, Norris, Couturier, B Jenner, T Krug, Burns, M Weegar, Werenski, Sergachev, B Clarke (r), Theodore, Sorokin , Oettinger, Askarov (r), Ersson
    12 teams, No salary cap
Keep 14 plus 4 rookies (under 150 GP) max 18 players
    Scoring: G (1), A (1), +/- (0.25), H (0.1), B(0.1), PIM (0.1), SOG (0.1), GWG (1), PPP (1), SHP (1),
    Goalies: W (2), SO (3), GA (-0.5), OTL (1), SV (0.1)

I’d sooner ride with the known commodity in Tkachuk so this is a pass for me.

I agree with Metaldude that you're giving up the known but if you really want Bedard, it doesn't seem like a huge overpay. Besides, fantasy is supposed to be fun. If you really want Bedard- do it!

This is one of the more reasonable "Bedard" trade offers I've seen. It is tempting to say the least. I'm really liking the potential here with Bedard and Beniers and Marchand has a few good years left and he will produce, the guys compete level is just through the roof, and he will contribute to your team. I think Huberdeau will rebound a bit but in Calgary I wonder by how much. The difference between him and Beniers might be closer than you might think. If Bedard meets expectations, in two years he could very well significantly exceed Tkachuk's numbers, hell, if Dobber is right, he might even do it this year. YOur 1st nets a decent player but you can likely negate that in large part with a solid pick in the 2nd. I think daydream nation summed up my thinking as well, "if you really want Bedard, it doesn't seem like a huge overpay. Besides, fantasy is supposed to be fun. If you really want Bedard- do it! This is a calculated risk I am willing to take. It will be a hell of a ride one way or the other but I'm banking on this deal looking like a steal 2 or 3 years from now, it's entirely possible!

if Bedard in his prime is anywhere close to his hype this trade will look good in 5 years. Problem is you putting your self back 5 years...By the time Bedard is ready, half of your current keepers will be retired or close to it...i rather keep what you have and keep competing next few years, im assuming you are one of better teams.
