Would you trade Buchnevich for John Carlson?

Dmen are pretty valuable in my league. If I did this move it would make my keepers

this is a great "hockey trade" in the fantasy realm. Both have seventy point potential at different positions. Buchnevich carries injury risk more than Carlson IMO who missed time due to a freak occurrence last year. Carlson is going to play heavy minutes guaranteed and IMO Washington should be somewhat better this year, they def dealt with heavy injury problems long term the prior campaign. This gives you a deadly defender trio and you'll need not address the position for some time in the draft allowing to further bolster your forward ranks.

Thanks for the insight, that’s kinda what I’m thinking. Only problem is that I haven’t pitched it to the Carlson owner yet.

However he is a buddy of mine in the pool, and he’s going through a rebuild, so I think it would be appealing to do this exchange and get a player who is much younger back

Yeah, you win with the Carlson side. Buch is great, but he doesn't shoot the puck and his ceiling is limited in my opinion.

You did say D has elevated value in your league and Carlson is, well, Carlson. I like Buchnevich, but I just can't see him having the kind of value that Carlson has, not really close IMO. If you can swing this great, but if I'm the other guy I'm needing a sweetener before I move Carlson for Buch.
