Maybe to make room for a sign and trade with OTT for Debrincat? Attempt to rebuild around the cat instead? Saros going back would be awesome for the Sens.

Saros has 2 more years left...i can see him being dealt in a year maybe if Askarov adapts well but my guess is they will allow Askarov to slide behind Saros and split duties for a while....we will see. If they do trade Saros, i think they bring another vet to help Askarov.

As a Preds fan... I understand the move to make Cap space, etc... but I would have much preferred just a 4th round pick rather then an AHL UFA... at least a 4th round pick could become something.

The cap space allows them to get a player who's already a NHL player, not a 4th round long shot.

Nice pick up for the Avs. Maybe playing with studs will wake RJ up a bit. Doesn't have to go crazy on that team but could have a good year.
