Unworthy candidates will get in. That doesn't mean we should advocate for more of them. I mean you could let half of the retired NHL in based on Kevin Lowe and Guy Carbonneau alone.

Absolutely. It’s unfortunate that they get in. I’d be fine with no one going in in years where there isn’t anyone worthy. It’s has become the Hall of Pretty Good.

I also want to point out that the goal scoring was very different during Barrasso and Vernon's time so their career GAA and S% will look awful, but I think those are just average goaltenders numbers during that time. I get goaltending is weird to judge across era's.

However, the HHOF has gotten into career length achievements instead of "height of excellence" for criteria. I think for a long time they avoided bringing in goalies, then they brought in bad goalies and set the bar looowww.

I also don't agree with that they bring in 5 players every yr. Not every yr should have the same inductees. As much as baseball has screwed up the Bonds situation, they have the nomination process correct.

I will keep saying Theo Fleury should be in. Undersized forward who was over a PPG, in a league of monsters at the time and won a cup. Outside of the on ice stuff, he struggle with addiction and how he brought to light the abuse in hockey, makes him one of the most important figures to ever play the game.

Forget about his politics right now and just base it about the above.
