Acquiring Batherson

I am currently in 2nd place in a 12-team Dynasty League (in sig) and am trying to acquire Batherson.

I would like to swing a 2-for-1 trade to make room for Eichel when he returns from injury.

Looking to trade my DeBrusk and Teravainen for his Batherson.

I am horrible at evaluating trades and am looking for opinions on whether this is a good move. Will rep!

my issue with it is if Turbo returns to form especially with MaxPac on the verge of returning. Really I would not deal him yet cuz if he gets paired with Max he's never had a dynamo shooter like that to feed the puck with his passing abilities, it could be very fruitful.

You're getting some hypothetical upside thats not really guaranteed at all in a crowded Ottawa top six. Some people like batherson more than me and mayne hes a guy but you're basically giving up two guys to get him lol! If you're clearing a spot I don't actually hate this type of overpay but id rather target a positional need ora more clear upside upgrade myself...

I will be dropping Rodrigues when Duchene returns but that still leaves Eichel. Who should I drop if I can't swing a trade...Duchene?

I love this trade if you can pull it off. 2 for 1 trades get very little traction in my league since the roster spot is so valuable and we all want to package two players for a better one. As a Batherson owner with setting like your's, I wouldn't consider this. I love Batherson's upside and wonder if his production this season is a little depressed due to concerns over the Team Canada investigation. Good luck.

You are likely selling low on Teravainen'd value, which isn't ideal. However, I would do this deal if you can pull it off. If I owned Batherson, this offer wouldn't be enough to consider moving him.

The motivation here makes this a good deal for you if you can get the trade done. You need Eichel in your lineup and you need to make room, simple as that. Personally I'd rather own Batherson than DeBrusk or Teravainen, accordingly, giving up those two and adding Batherson to make room for Eichel is a solid move IMO.

He's 24 and has developed and progressed every single year since drafted exactly as you could possibly hope. And then paced for 78 pts last year and is on pace for 80 pts this year, and hasn't even played 200 games yet in the NHL.

Batherson >>>> Debrusk & Teravainen.

I don't have batherson, but I know if I offered those two guys for him in our league I would be laughed at (rightfully so)

I’m not surprised… I’m late to a part but I was going to say that I doubt other GM takes it… Sens fan or not, Batherson side is better own by quite a bit imo…. I think he still got upside left and is already a stud
