Thanks I think it's still a contract year and a couple of Czechs to play with, could be a good recipe, but I think there are safer picks out there too.

There's also riskier picks out there so it's a nice balance I feel. In a typical league, he'd be a strong draft to start the year and then maybe phase him out as the Bruins get healthier or keep him if he breaks out.

Yeah, nothing too special about Orlov but most players have some warts at this stage so I just went with a steady performer across the board. There were a couple of other D men I was considering as well, I am curious if we're thinking of the same guy. When he's off the board let us know.

PH just took Montour which was the guy I was talking about. I don't know why we're not higher on him with Weegar gone. It seems like Forsling is the sexy pick to grab more minutes and more PP time but it might also be Montour. He's not as good as Orlov in hits and blocks but the dropoff is minimal considering the potential for 40+ points.

Not sure I'd target him in regular drafts but in deeper ones where 6D are started, I believe he'd make a very fine 6th D.

Yup it’s a good pickup for all around numbers, and he was the preferred option (over Forsling) for PP1 after Ekblad went down last year.

I'm down on most of the depth on Florida this season so I'm not sure it'll be advantageous to be #2D on the Panthers.

Less that than simply the team depth being weaker and scoring less overall.

In looking at this you may be right. Weegar is the glaring loss on the back end from an offensive standpoint. But I don’t think the drop off in scoring will be that precipitous. Seems like they may have a little more of an issue keeping the puck out of their own goal than last season too. Obviously it’s all interrelated - but I still think they are going to score at a rate near the very top of the league.
