By picking up only 1G, he frees up 2-3 utility slots he can use on a skater pumping up the other 9 categories.

My only question is, since this is 2G / 5D / 12F roster with 5 Utility, isn’t it MANDATORY to have at least those numbers at each position? I would think so, otherwise your lineup will show as illegal in Fantrax?

It was said earlier no... extra players would just sit as Bench spot. Previously to this said I was thinking along your line too.

It would just mean other GM's cant select that player.

It won't be illegal technically because we included Bench positions. You can draft guys to your bench, but since there are no moves in this league you cannot move guys off the bench. If you draft 1 G you will have 1 guy on your bench all season. So to draft a full lineup it is somewhat mandatory to fill out those slots.

No, a bench player would be if you draft beyond the positions of the starting lineup. So there are 5 D and 5 UTIL. If you drafted 11 D you would have 5 at D, 5 at UTIL, and 1 on your bench. We are not drafting bench positions. But if someone goes over the limits their extra players would go on the bench and not count. UTIL stats count, the bench is irrelevant unless someone decides to overdraft at one position

Ok i see, so by drafting 1 goalie and not a 2nd goalie, he doesn’t get an extra skater because he’ll have a total of 23 skaters and only 12F 5D 5 Util slots to play them.

Yahoo doesn’t grade a draft but when it’s complete you can look at the projected league standings at the end of the season…which are based on Yahoo’s projections. Which are shite.

Seems to be a problem on Fantrax's side of things. I have reported the error to them so we'll see what they say.

Fantrax responded. They're looking into the issue which is on their end. They're hoping to have it resolved pretty soon.

Ok so I grab Nick Paul. Never having done a hits/PIMS or rotisserie, I’m intrigued at how much value a guy like Paul will bring. Say 15+G 35+ pts with 2 SOG/game, 1.5 hits/game and 0.5PIM/game. We shall see I guess.
