Default Rank these high-end forwards pls! REP

Hey y'all! I'm joining a new league that is starting (limited keeper - 6 players) with multi-cat settings (goal heavy - details in sig). In a 10-team league, I have the 2nd overall pick and it is a snake draft, meaning I will have the following picks: 2nd, 19th, 22nd, 39th, 42nd....and so on). I am definitely picking Makar at #2 (assuming McDavid goes #1 which the other GM has basically already stated will happen). For my second pick (19th overall) I am hoping to target one of Shesterkin or Vasilevski (if either of them are still around). If Pasta slips I will take him. However, if Shest, Vas and Pasta are not available in the second round (very likely they are all gone by my pick) then I will be targeting a high-end forward. Please help me rank the guys I think should be available:

    - M. Tkachuk (unknown asset in FLA)
    - A. Svechnikov (untapped upside - room to grow)
    - K. Connor (sniper but in WPG)
    - Ovechkin (getting pretty old - how many years left will he be flirting with 50goals?)
    - Barkov (great, but pure C only and more of a playmaker which reduces his value in my league setup)
    - Miller (unclear where he'll be playing and close to 30 y/o)
    - T. Meier (unmissable/burgeoning multi-cat stud?)
    - B. Tkachuk (unmissable/burgeoning multi-cat stud?)
    - Marner (weak peripherals reduces his value in league setup)

This ranking will also help inform my 3rd round pick which is only 3 picks after my 2nd round pick.

    Thanks!!
    Weekly matchup, 10-teams, 25 man roster, play 3C, 3LW, 3RW, 4D, 2G per night
    Multi-cat league: G (4), A (2.5), SOG (0.2), HIT (0.2), BLKS (0.2), PPP, GWG, PIMS (0.2), +/- (+/-0.5) - skaters
    W (3), S/O (5), each save (0.2), each GA (-1)

This is tough, but I’d say..There could be 20 different versions of this list and none would be that far off.

    M. Tkachuk
    Connor
    Barkov
    Marner
    B. Tkachuk
    Svech
    Miller
    Ovi
    Meier
12 teams. Keep 9 any position.
7 prospects. D scoring 3.75 for goal, 2.75 for assist. Forwards 3.5 for goal, 2.5 for assist. 0.5 for hits and blocks. Goalie scoring -1.5 GA, 0.3 for save, 2 points for win and extra 2 for shutout.

    Pre Draft

F: Keller, Zegras, Suzuki, Caufield, Cozens

    D: Drysdale, Guhle, Perunovich

    G:

    IR:

Prospects: W. Johnston, K. Johnson, Guenther, Morrow, Mateychuk

IF Ovi is there at 19 you take him 100%. He's fantasy gold in this format. Go for the win year 1 because a lot of leagues fold within the first couple seasons.

    The next tier is tougher to comb through. Like you said in the thread title they're all high-end forwards, so you're getting a stud no matter how you slice it..... but in your format I'd rank them;

    B.Tkachuk
    Miller
    Barkov
    Connor
    M.Tkachuk
    Svech

    Marner

    Meier

I think you're undervalueing Marner in a league where forwards have positional requirements. The dropoff after the top 5 at RW is pretty huge.

I think you divide these into groups rather than trying to rank players who play different positions and hit different categories.

The goal scorers that also hit peripherals in this order:
    Ovechkin
    M. Tkachuk
    Connor

The players that are super strong positionally:
    Marner
    Barkov
    Miller
    B. Tkachuk

The players that are bargain versions of the others:
    Svechnikov
    Meier

I could see Connor and Miller maybe shifting down a tier just because I think they'll be available later than the others.

I would aim for one from each group with those next 3 picks, I doubt any of them make it past your next 3 picks anyway.
