Pretty disappointing and seems to get hurt a lot. What are your guys opinions about him for the upcoming season? I have to make a choice to keep or trade him.

in the last 4yrs, there's been a total of 288games, Dougie has played 246games. So he's played 85% of the last 4yrs (regular season). Then he's played 31 of 34 playoff games for a total of 277games out of 322 possible games (86%). Injury isn't really an issue to me.

He's a 45-60pt dman typically. I'm not going to say you shouldn't trade him because we don't know what the return is, but you'd be selling low that's for sure.

I wouldn't be looking to deal Hamilton away, as if his value had peaked or his production was going to fall off a cliff. If anything, his value is lower than it should be right now. Of course, it always depends on who you can get for him.

It’s more a matter of not having enough keepers and needing to make a tough choice. I’m allowed 7 keepers. My options are McDavid, Brady Tkachuk, Andrei Svechnikov, Patrick Kane, Jake Guentzel, John Carlson, Dougie Hamilton, Thatcher Demko.

These are the 8 I have it narrowed down too. I like keeping one goalie as it’s tough to redraft quality in net.

Demko contributes to Ws and Shutouts. 20% of the cats.

I'd be keeping Hamilton over Demko.

Yeah that thought has crossed my mind. I have my 1st rounder so I will have the option of drafting one of the “better” goalies available. I’m probably better off keeping Hamilton over Demko and just rolling the dice in net. Your right goalies don’t count for much of the stats overall

It would help if we had an idea what your league looks like and specifically what the goaltending situation might be, but we'll take your word for it, if you can draft a goalie better than Demko you definitely drop him and keep Dougie.

I hate to bring this up, and I'd like to hear what others have to say, but, in your format, is Brady Tkachuk perhaps a better keep than Patty Kane? Kane is not getting any younger, he is one dimensional and while that dimension has been awesome his whole career he is now 33 and playing on a team which has been completely ripped apart and I might add, not put back together in any way shape or form. Conversely, Tkachuk is an absolute monster in your format on a Sens team which is vastly improved and likely to continuing to improve (gotta fix up their back end).

He can keep both Kane and BTkachuk. But in a hits/sog league Tkachuk is the better player I think, especially in a keeper league. In a non-keeper league they prolly end up being closer.

I think NJ is an ever improving team and he’s the main guy on the back line. I also wouldn’t let BTkachuk go either.

Tough call, but Hamilton is worth a keep. Assuming you are allowed to trade in the off-season, I would shop any of Demko / Hamilton / Carlson / Kane and see what you get. But if you can't make a move, and given that your league setup has 8 skater categories and only 2 goalie categories (one of which is SO, which are wildly unpredictable), I'd drop Demko. Goalies aren't as valuable as skaters in your league.
