Apparently all manner of insanity is possibly upcoming in Russia... martial law, conscripting dissenters to the army (and sending them to the Ukraine to fight). The potential for stuff to go horrifically sideways (even more than it already has) does not seem to be declining.

Oh, and apparently a Russian businessman has put out a 'Dead or Alive' bounty on Putin.

This is legit in terms of it seemingly happened. Unclear how legit the actual person/offer is.

Also rumors that Russia is aiming rockets at Russian targets to justify further escalation.

Foreign Minister of Russia said that if NATO interferes then WW3 can only be nuclear. Putin has escalated rocket and missile attacks because his ground attack has utterly stalled. So yeah if your ground game is weak, fight from the skies. I hope that won’t be the case.

Also saw that he is intentionally trying to eliminate the Ukrainian people by targeting non military buildings. This is intentional because there are no Russian troops in sight, meaning it is aggression from afar. If there’s anytime for an assassination plot it is now. The West better be getting the best of the best together and attempt a shot at Putins head. This guy is a danger to humanity.

Moving the Champions League final is a rational and reasonable response. Its impossible to have the match there. However, banning any sports person is completely ridiculous. It achieves absolutely nothing. Waste of time and it is only punishing people who have nothing to do with it. Banning teams from participating in international tourney or competitions is slightly less unsavory but I still dont understand what it would accomplish. Just optics I guess.

The entire concept of "cancel culture" is silly. It is the might of the dollar today, and capitalism at its finest. One of the few things customers do control, is what they actually spend thier money on. They have to be allowed to choose what they want or what they don't want to buy.

Companies understand this. They get that if they continue to use the picture of the recently discovered wife-beater on their product, and it's likely to cost them money.

But seriously, what's the alternative? Tell people they aren't allowed to stop buying the rapist's products? Tell companies they aren't allowed to stop endorsing the guy caught with child pornagraphy on his laptop?

Cancel culture is straight up fake. "Some People" whine about it for some obvious reasons. They're the most prototypical people on the world today. They believe in "freedom of choice" and "free speech" and "diversification of ideas" but they can't handle when those concepts are counter to their beliefs
