F- McDavid, Kucherov, Gaudreau, P.Kane, Guentzel, Pettersson, Pacioretty
D- Hedman, Letang, Rielly, DeAngelo
G- Andersen, Demko, Jarry
I won't dig deep into the ones you said are no-brainers as I agree.
These three are the other 100% Keepers for me:
Andersen - He is under contract with Carolina for another year and Carolina's structure and talent should allow them to be a top team again next year.
P Kane - Next year is a contract year... and players like Kane always pick it up a notch in their contract years... and this is a points only league... and he is stills coring over a point per game!
Guentzel - Scoring over a point per game for three straight seasons, some of this year was without Crosby, and Crosby isn't declining next year either.
Now we need three more and it is between these four:
Max Pacioretty - Has been a good contributor with Chandler Stephenson as his C.... the sky is the limit with elite Eichel as his centre. My concern here is health and age
Kris Letang - Almost a point per game D-man... but I am concerned about his age... turning 35 in a couple months.
Tony D - Another almost point per game D-man... but he is not signed to a contract next year so a huge factor is the location of where he is playing next year.
Morgan Rielly - Not quite scoring as high as Letang or Deangelo this year... but he is still a good age (unlike Letange) and we know where he is playing next year (unlike DeAngelo)
Conclusion
If it were me I would pick Max Pac and two of the D-men. Depending on your risk tolerance.
If you like risk, then take Letang and DeAngelo.
IF you are more conservative, because you do have McDAvid in your line up and you just need good (not great) supporting cast go with Letang and Rielly. - Yes I do see DeAngelo as the most risky of the three D-men.
One other interesting option is taking all three of the D-men and having 4/6 keepers at D. I would only do this if Pacioretty and Eichel do not click at all down the stretch.. which might be the case with PAcioretty injured.
