To me Marchand is better than Gaudreau, but much older.

I wouldn't do that either, in pts only I prefer both of your players. Based on your post it sounds like you're considering the need to get younger, if you're going to be doing that you should be getting assets that at least have the potential to be better than what you're shipping out. Is this a keeper league?

In my case much of my team is quite young so it's more about maximizing any asset when I can.

Wow...That's one helluva a roster to be "not the favorite". I would be looking to ship out Seguin, Teravainen and Slavin and perhaps Kuemper as well for upgrades. Maybe you throw in Necas, Newhook to get something done, those guys will eventually be great but their opportunities are limited right now.

This is a 10 teams league. Actually there is 3-4 solids teams including mine, and 2-3 weak teams, and the actual leader is way in advance but is off to a solid start, I don't think he'll be able to keep his actual pace. There is no clear favorite there.Originally Posted by Swarley

I think your best bet is to be patient, it’s very early and you have a few players off to a slow start, fiala, pietrangelo, point, Necas, petry And with the injury to Kucherov, so things should get better for you. Solid roster in a 10 team league. I like Marchand and Ekblad a lot so would look at other small trades instead
