One year pts only salary cap league...

Guys,

I\'m also participating in a pts only salary cap league. Here are the rules:

Salary cap: 50.3M$
Roster: 4C/8W/6D/2G with a maximum of 5 trade a month
Pts system:
C/W - 2 pts for a goal and 1 pts for an assist
D - 3 pts for a goal and 2 pts for an assist
G - 3 pts for a win and 5 pts for a shutout

I\'ve tried to end up with the most quality for my money. I think I\'m satisfied with my centers, dmens and goalies, but I\'m trying to improve my wingers.

I am assuming this is not like a draft and that any player can be chosen by any manager as long as you are under the salary cap.

I definitely think you got a good looking team. From the scoring, it seems like defencemen are pretty good. You are probably getting the best for your money. I am assuming players like Lidstrom and Luongo are just too expensive.

Actually, I think I may be in that same league. Cyberpresse thingy?
Anyways, Dunno how much I like Brunette and Williams. I have Michalek and he is under $1m and I think will outperform Brunette atleast. Other than that, I don\'t see many flaws on your team.

Yes that\'s the Cyberpresse thing and yes anybody can own the same players. Lidstorm is 7.6M$ and Luongo is 6.5M$.

You\'re right on Brunette and Williams (however he had such a good 2nd part of season). I thought about replacing these two with Alfredson and Michalek, but I\'m not quite sure about this either. That will leave me with only 268K$ left.

Does it matter how much $$ you have left over? I am assuming we can change up the line up anytime during the season, so spending closest to the max should be good.

I really like what you did with the dmen... However, I\'m not sold on Zetterberg and Hasek... I\'ll still have to think about it.
