I know I know. But it's still annoying how the League would allow a possible trade back of Vanecek, or Seattle selecting someone and not signing him (and irionically that player going BACK to the team), allow trades for cap dumps for "future considerations" which are just cap circumvention but wouldn't allow Price move.
Like would the NHL be upset if they selected Price, then signed Grubauer, then traded Price back to MTL with like maybe 5% retained? Who knows.

Ya, I find this was a weird hill for the NHL to die on considering LTIR deals always happen and they are Cap Circumvention in a way. Oh well its all done.
