In a word No. Don't drop him.
If you do not feel like waiting for him to come around at least put him on the trade block. You will get a much better return that what you have listed on the wire.
Is Karlsson completely droppable at this point? Last year he managed 40 points, which sucked for the 2nd overall I drafted him at, but was actually decent for a 3rd or 4th defenseman. This year he's started off as hot garbage. His point per game over 6 games have decreased by close to 30% from last year. His +/- so far has actually gotten worse by more than a factor of 5. His powerplay points per game have gone down commensurately with his points. Worst and most telling, his shot rate has taken a nosedive from 2.14/game to 1.67/game. This is all while averaging close to 28 minutes a night.
He still has a reputation as a potential star, but I'm wondering if he's well below replacement level at this point. Should I hold on, or drop him and pick up one of the waiver wire options? League details in sig.
If I drop him, who should I pick up from the wire?
Josh Morrissey (Already have Pionk, don't know if that affects this)

A poor season for him is still more points than anyone on that list.

The only argument I could see is Rasmus Andersson, and even then I'm still leaning Karlsson

If you don't like him anymore trade him away and you'll get plenty more than anyone on that list.

I'd also hold for now and monitor. If by 30 games you dont see an improvement, then you can revisit.

You guys have convinced me, I'm on board to keep him for now (though he's still looking terrible), but I gotta say, waiting 30 games in a 52 game season doesn't seem right...

I wouldn't drop him for that waiver group.
Offer him to somebody holding other SJ players, they are invested.
Check in with the Burns GM first... then the Couture, Hertl, Kane, Labanc GMs.
That'll likely be your best order of returns.
