How deep is the keeper league?
Generally I say no, as Kaliyev should be equal to whoever you would end up with at pick 10.

(No I don't have a hockey problem...)
It’s a 26 teams league
Close on for me. I'm not a fan of Kaliev but I dont know who will be there at 10th.
Personally I would do it, but it depends on the upcoming draft
31 TEAMS keep all multi-cat (lot of them) dynasty
Offensive stats : Goals, Assist , PPP, PPTOI, SOG...
Defensive stats : PKTOI, BLKS, TakeAway, Giveaway...
(basically best NHL player)
I mean... to make the trade, one should have made their queue of 10 prospects for this draft.
They should be written out in order.
For this draft, I'd say "probabilities" would be as follows:
0% chance that any of the top 4 prospects make it to #10
2% chance that prospects 5/6 make it to #10
10% chance prospect #7 makes it to #10
25% chance prospect rated 5-8 makes it to #10
50% chance prospect rated 5-9 makes it to #10
100% chance that one of the top 10 is... there at #10.
Having a drafted player have a good D+1 (draft + a season) year is typically a good launching point to the NHL.
I would've probably kept Kaliyev & the #30 overall pick.
[But there ARE very good prospects right thru #12, IMO, this year. League dependent on whether Askarov-G is a top pick based on league cats.]
Well i don’t know the top 10...but at least i have a top 10 pick.
I don’t know if it’s a good one on this years draft.
If you can grab Askarov at 10 then I'd do it as you need an upgrade on goal. Otherwise I'd keep what you have as Kaliyev is a good player. I'm assuming it's not a prospect draft and that this is the regular draft including dropped players and that you don't mind storing prospects for several years.

Yeah - not enough info here. What does your farm club look like aside from Kaliyev? What’s the draft pool look like? I take its not a partial keeper?

Kaliyev is a sniper, I dont think I've ever seen him play where he doesn't score abs I've seen alot of Hamiltongames. I'm keeping him here as I'd be shocked if he doesn't turn out to be a Mike Hoffman type NHLer (his play reminds me of Hoffman). Add in the 30th pick and its a no for me
I'd have no issues giving Kalyiev + for the 10th overall, but I dont think I'd be giving up the 30th overall. Maybe a later round pick to help offset the little difference that might be there between Kalyiev and the 10th, but you shouldnt need to give up the 30th overall.

I'd say no to trading Kaliyev unless you can get a pick in the top 8. He would be a top 10 prospect in this year's draft.
