he's on the perfect team for a comeback. Just ask Parise
I know hes 33 and his team role is on the decline but I found it interesting that if you take out the injuries hes scored at an average of 68 points per season over the last 4 seasons. I feel like some pretty slick production is camouflaged by injury and being on a boring team. His finesse style likely will age well to boot. 33 is certainly not washed up. Not a sales pitch- but hes a guy on a lot of waiver wires who may contribute surprising production....

Zuccarello is the perfect "draft in the late rounds" or "add as a throw in to a trade" type player.
GM's often can't appreciate the production a player can bring and only focus more on "potential" and age.

As a Pavelski fan... I can tell you that when a player switches teams in his mid-30s... you should throw past-stats OUT.THE.DOOR.
He is, what he is, on his new team.
Any other analysis - is a mistake.
Call a spade a spade.
Zucc is a 40-50pt player, if he can play 80gp.
I'd imagine he's owned in most 12-14 team leagues as a solid depth type or available as a free agent pikup / stream option .
but yeah , 40-50 point guy who could catch fire a few times a season
I feel he's only interesting in deep leagues without a cap. I think he's owned in both my leagues, but I'd be interested in him in neither, he wouldn't crack my roster for the league in sig, and he's too expensive for me to bother with in my multi-cat cap league.

Depth player for sure, but some reason for optimism; Kaprizov could help his numbers, especially if he fits on a line or PP1
And I really think he does right?? Who else is pushing him off? Fiala and Kaprizov locked in- Dumba- Parise/Staal - I mean those arent insurmountable names- although the two vets are savvy pp players to be sure. I think he'll get a chance anyways. JEE maybe? Even if they had a guy like Beckman I feel like theyll ease him into that role. The crazy thing? Zuke never really relies on pptime having a careerhigh of 18 in is 60 point season and often substantially less than that. If he adds at a 30 point pace like some pp1 artistes he could pad his totals more.
I think he might be a super sleeper here!!
A real sleeper for sure; I never really considered him until now. He might make for a nice last-round pick for me this year...
Type of guy i look for in the late rounds of my auction draft, cheap depth player who could get 40-50 pts. Need to have him active when he goes on some point streaks. Thanks for the heads up guys, will keep him in mind.

I always loved his game, but not looking good. From Sunday's practise:
Parise - EK - Fiala
Greenway - Johansson - Kaprizov
Foligno - Bjugstad - Hartman
Zucc - Johnson - Mayhew
Dang - well I'll keep an eye on him. I was hoping he'd be bumped to second line with Kap, though he likely needs a few break-in games to match speed.
