trading spree

bare with me for this. I just completed a trading spree and am wondering if I\'m any better off; Skip to the bottom for the short version

First deal

My; Phaneuf, Kane For; Thornton,Kovalchuk, Markov

2nd Deal

My; Briere For; Souray

3rd Deal

My; Markov, Kovalchuk For; Alfreddson, Gagne

4th Deal

My; Versteeg For; Gomez

So i think it breaks down to me getting

Thornton, Souray, Alfreddson, Gagne, Gomez
for
Phaneuf, Kane, Briere, Versteeg

I believe i strengthened my team for this year but may have weakened my keepers. What\'s everyone think?

I know this is long so I will give Karma for well thought out responses

i guess you did ok.. i would have stopped after trade #2. im not crazy about souray/gagne/alferdsson. they are older and injury prone. yes gagne and souray are playing like they should this yr but its any day before they get hurt (maybe).

and alferdsson is old wont play a full season or most likely wont.

but otherwise you did well in the trade but yes you stacked for the short term not the long term.

having phaneuf/kane/luongo/and whoever would have been a solid 4.

Other than deal #3, i think you did really well. Gagne and Alfie are getting old and becoming more injury prone. You might want to continue you spree and see what you can get for \'em before they die of old age

Had you stopped after trade 2 I think you were the lottery winner - after that you kinda watered it down - getting Boyle for Gagne is certainly a good one for you.
