Without a trade I don\'t see things improving.
I managed to move him for Holmstrom just before he got injured and I still think I got the best part of that deal
so whats the deal with this guy? i have semin coming back into the lineup hopefully soon fingures crossed. i am leaning towards dropping vermette, does he have a breakout coming anytime soon or is he done for the season and should i just outright drop him?

i can\'t see vermette being a viable fantasy option in anything but the deepest of leagues. sure he has talent, but ottawa just cant diversify their scoring, they are a one line pony. you might get a little 2 or 3 game burst from vermette but then he goes icy cold for long stretches. he is a very serviceable player in the nhl, he does plenty of intangibles and for that i will always be a fan of his game, but as far as producing in a fantasy league goes, i stay far far away.
do yourself a favour and drop this guy now, there surely must be a better option on the waiver wire than a 40 point guy like vermette.
