Scott Niedermayer???

I inherited a terrible team and it was inevitable that this was a rebuilding year for me. to make matters worse the fellas did the draft without me and drafted my team. Needless to say they gave me terrible players. i quickly drop most of them for young, rising stars. it is a 12-team, 5-player keeper and I am going with the youth movement into next year. I have Versteeg, Setoguchi, Brassard, Voracek, Berglund, Ryan, and newly added James Neal. I will surely be keeping 5 of these players.

My question to DobberNation is what is Scott Niedermayer\'s value. A manager is going hard for him and I think he will reach the 60pt plateau. He has offered me Stamkos and Seabrook for him, but I think I can get more in players and picks. What do you guys think????

Considering you only keep five players, if you were to pick up Stamkos, who would your five protected be?

Brassard, Voracek, Berglund, Ryan and Stamkos?

Would you be able to turn around and flip Versteeg and Setoguchi?

If I were looking to deal Niedermayer (in your situation), I would be looking for either picks or to at least upgrade a couple picks.

If however, I could get say Stamkos and a 1st or 2nd, I\'d look at that.

Really also depends on the league rules (points, positions etc).

I think Niedermayer for Stamkos is a great deal for you. Niedermayer only has 1 more year and hes useless on your team as you are rebuilding.

I would jump all over this deal asap.

In your situation take Stamkos. He will be a hugh addition and will start lighting the lamp very soon.
