Draisaitl for Gaudreau & Guentzel?

I'm in a points league (G/A/S/PP/SHP; no hits or blocks) and am feeling thin on wingers. Although Leon has more points than both of the other players combined, I am considering making the trade to improve depth and hedge my risks against an injury. Thoughts?

I would probably keep Drai. You're only starting 6 forwards a night, I want the best player here.

It's a reasonable return but I'm keeping Drai. You have arguably the top two wingers right now and your depth isn't bad.

How deep is the league? Number of teams/roster size?

Ya, not worth it in my opinion. League isn't deep enough for that trade to benefit you.

You should focus on upgrading your 4th D spot. This league is 6F vs 4D which skews the value of high end defenders UP.

If you can find a way to package Fox and Strome or Skinner for a D upgrade, that would be your best bet I think.

Fox has 11 points in his last 12 games and keeps getting pp1 time (a very solid pp1 in new York right now). I'd hold him for now. If he stops getting pp1 deployment for more than a few games in a row he becomes expendable but he has decent home run potential if he can hold it.

Keep Draisaitl. You can find depth through other means.

I'd hold him as well. Upgrading D is more important, as others have said. If you were getting an elite D & one of those 2 wingers, it'd be reasonable.

You don’t trade Drasaitl. You just can’t. He’s the beat rostered player this year. He’s the one that will carry your team.
In a 10 team league with only 9ish forwards rostered there should be lots on the wire. Burakovsky, Strome are both moving down the depth chart and can probably be dropped for the next hot players. Frost can also be swapped for a hot player. Unless you have limited moves, you should have a great potential to ride hot player coat tails, and Drasaitl is one of the hottest.

Not enough given how well Drai is playing and the shallowness of the league. Focus on upgrading your Dmen.

In a shallow league you want to be the guy getting the 1 elite player for 2 good ones.
