A Flames homer tried to tell me this deal would be better for the Flames. I laughed then. I laugh more now.
F*** me lol
I knew I should’ve held on to him! Most likely gets picked up this week by another team.....!!!

Neal is a scorer. He just needed a guy to get it to him like McDavid and Draisaitl.
I'm actually sensing the buy window quickly become a sell-high window.

Goddamit. Flames fan here.
This thread is already aging hilariously.
My pool is a points pool and he’s available... any guesses at how many points he might have by the end of the year?
Wonder about dropping one of my bottom three F’s.
My understanding is he has the Oiler’s all time record for most goals in their first three games now. Not Gretz, Not Mess, Not Jarri.
Lol.
I’ll take the under on 43% shooting and I’ll still take the under on 20 goals. He’s currently on pace to take ~380 shots after averaging around 200 the last 4 years. He’s either on PEDs or he’s going to slow down pretty fast.
If we're still doing this I'll take the over

I got significant sh—- for drafting Neal 16th round of 25 in my deepest league. Ya think I could get decent trade offer at this point? Who would’ve thought I could ask for Malkin in return? (Not entirely out of realm of possible...)

"Cleavage is like the sun. You can look, but dont stare.. Unless you're wearing sunglasses."
Great start but another 79 left.
I actually ran the numbers. It really depends if you think he's going to average 2 shots/g (which would bring him down in line to his career average) or 3 shots/g (which would bring him to his highest shot total of the last 4 years) or 4 shots/g (which would basically mean Neal is a different player than he's ever been ever.) Then it depends if you think he's going to shoot around 8% (which would have him end the year around his career average) or 12% (his career average) or 16% (his career high).
#Math would suggest 2.35 shots/g (~200 total) at 9.7% (to bring season shooting % to 12) which would produce 24 total goals at the end of the year. So if you're still betting on the over 20, you're either betting that he's going to play 82 games for the first time in 4 years, or you're betting that at 32 he's going to start playing like he's 28 again, or you're betting that he's actually a completely different player than he's ever been and he's better than he was in his prime.
