Thanks rjfisher83!
(REP for you, as always!)
My quick algorithm that I use... it weights "off-night power" by doing the following:
1. Total up all the NHL season games on each weeknight (M=226, Tu=476, W=206, Th=468, F=268, Sat=628, Sun=270).
2. Divide each teams season games per day by the "total NHL games on that night" (step #1).
3. That gives some decimal value, per team, per M-Sun night, like .005
4. Sum those up for all 7 days.
Here is the leaderboard:
0.257 ANA
0.253 EDM
0.252 WAS
...
0.244 COL
0.243 NYR
...
0.235 VAN
0.233 CHI
0.233 CBJ
0.231 OTT
0.231 DET
0.230 VGK
0.230 DAL
0.228 STL
0.228 PIT
0.226 WPG
0.224 ARI
0.224 BUF
0.222 PHI
0.220 CGY
0.220 LAK
0.219 TOR
0.216 NYI
0.216 SJS
0.215 NJD
0.215 BOS
0.213 MIN
0.212 FLA
0.212 TB
0.212 CAR
...
0.205 MON
0.202 NAS
Quick Summary:
1. It's ANAHEIM (as always) with the best "off-night" schedule, for you H2H daily starters trying to avoid conflicts
2. EDM, WAS, COL, NYR are also solid teams for avoiding conflict at a position.
3. The masses are clumped from 0.235-0.212, suggesting most teams have similar distribution of popular & off nights.
4. MON & NAS bring up the bottom, significantly... both are very TUE/THU/SAT heavy.
[As a side note, for ye in 1-year daily-start leagues, this gives some up value to McDavid-EDM, Ovechkin-WAS, and MacKinnon-COL where conflict comes into play... or you could just pick in the middle of a draft order, if that makes you feel comfy. ]
You are a god among men.

washington being near the top a new trend ?
I just opened this for the first time and can't even handle how awesome and helpful it is. Can't wait to put it to use during an actual draft! Amazing work.

Always one of the best posts of the year. This tool wins leagues. Loaded off-nights are the key to victory in H2H.
Wow, this is amazing! To think I spent hours just a few days ago doing this all by hand!
For the record my findings were very similar:
Washington the best followed by Edmonton and Anaheim. Next up was Colorado and NYR followed by Columbus and Vancouver.
More specifically:
Wsh - lots of MWF games and few Tues, Thurs
Edm - lots of Weds and few Tues, Thurs, Sat
Ana - lots of Sun, Fri and few Thurs, Sat
On the other end, Montreal and Nashville by far the worst, with Minnesota and Toronto not so hot.
Thank you for posting this!!
Feeling pretty good about my Bobrovsky-Holtby-Lehner platoon after looking at the schedules. Washington and Chicago each have a lot of off-night games that don't conflict with each other (Washington has a ton of M/W games, and Chicago has a bunch of Fri/Sun games).
