Not really fantasy-relevant but the team announced all home games aside from special afternoon games will start at 7pm. No more 7:30 home games.

Brett Kulak back for three years at 1.8M$ per. Not a bad deal for who was basically our 4th D at the end of the year. As a bottom pairing guy who can move up to fill in for injuries, I like the deal.
Good deal for Kulak. Regardless of his role he'll provide quality depth.

Ouellet one year two way deal. He was the captain for Laval last season. Depth move as usual but a good one.

Lots of talk in Montreal today about Erik Karlsson "hoping" to receive a competitive offer from the Habs on July 1st. This is coming from Don Brennan of the Ottawa Sun.
People have mentioned that the Habs already have Weber and Petry on the right side... if there is an ounce of truth to this rumour, you swing for the fence and you deal with your cap / depth chart issues afterwards.
Karlsson + Weber would be a formidable tandem on the right side.
It's only a rumour, so everyone let's breathe.

Points-only keeper league. 12 teams. Keep any 12 players. Dress 12F - 6D - 2G.
Sounds like a story an agent would plant in the media to try to put pressure on the Sharks. A multi-time Norris winner hopes to receive offers... WTF does that even mean?

Senators are listed in the Sportsnet article too. Surprised Florida wasn't tagged as well.

No Florida in the article because it says his wife (who is from Ottawa) wants to be closer to home. And there’s the whole Hoffman train wreck as you mentioned. It didn’t mention the Leafs or Sabres. I don’t believe he wants to be in the western conference. I don’t think he’s leaning on the Sharks because he doesn’t want to play there.

Since the team's left side defense is obviously a weak spot, here is a list of UFA LHD this summer:

I was wondering if they could trade for the rights of RFA Joel Edmundson. He's had some big misteps these Stanley Cup finals and was a healthy-scratch last night. Berube never had the faith in him that Yeo did and a change of scenery may do him well. Maybe Bergevin could make use of that cap-space and take on Allen's final two years?
