    Promote Kovalchuk to Coach. He wouldn’t have to worry about getting healthy scratched due to pesky technicalities like being “too slow” or “not having enough compete”.

    Side bonus; LA could promptly fire him as well and free themselves from his increasingly terrible cap hit.
