If it gets them back to being a TEAM, they can lose AB and Bell and I'm fine with it.
All the talent in the world on that roster, but too much drama.
There was speculation... now its official.

Way too much ego in that room.
It'll only take a 2nd round pick roughly apparently.

Agree with the comment about way too much ego in that room. But it's not just from the players it seems. Surprised that Tomlin has butted heads with so many of the players the way he has.
This actually makes me view Bell's situation last year in a little different light. He was the do it all component of that offense for years. And, compared to some of his teammates, not compensated terribly well (I know, RBs are devalued compared to many positions, particularly QB and WR). Despite that, who knows what kind of grief he thought was taking unfairly from Ben, the coaching the staff, and who knows who else. Doesn't absolve him from apparently having a pretty big ego himself. But would explain it a little if the atmosphere is as toxic as it seems it may be.

The Bell situation is completely different. His was all about money and he made that pretty clear from his comments to his lyrics in his "rap" songs. They offered him what he was asking $ wise, just not the guaranteed money he was looking for, and he turned it down. The deal would have made him the highest paid RB in the league by a almost DOUBLE the next RB (before the Gurley contract).
Speaking of the Gurley contract, don't you think it's crazy to pay a RB 15 mill to sit on the bench in the 2 most important games of the season in the NFC championship & SB, while your > 1 mill RB that had bounced around 4 different teams in a calendar year got the bulk of the carries? THAT is the reason teams don't want to pay that position a ridiculous amount of money.
Although, your comment about viewing situations in a different light does play a role with my thoughts on the AB situation. I think there's something to be said about his comments regarding Big Ben & Tomlin that the public doesn't see. It will be interesting what else comes to light with him going on all his twitter rants...

Drama, back end of his prime, and the fact he wanted to restructure his deal to get more guaranteed money and become the highest paid WR again leads to only a few teams willing to make the move. A 3rd and a 5th isn't great, but considering the situation, they did well.
Rumour was Buffalo was willing to give a better return, but once they heard what his asking price contract wise was, they pulled out.
I thought Brown said he would just retire if he went to the Bills.
Not even 2 weeks ago he was being interviewed pretty much saying he doesn't care about football and he doesn't owe the game anything anymore. Sounds like the guy you would never give guaranteed money too.
