Hey, I was wondering for the years to come who will be the top D men in Vegas points wise? The guy that will run the top pp fot that matter? is Theodre a solid bet, what about brannstrom? schmidt and miller seems to have the harder workload.

Yeah, I get the feeling that Brannstrom is the guy to own long-term. This year and next, I'd probably take Miller especially if you're in multi-cat leagues.

It's definitely not a slam dunk here but we know who the likely candidates are (Theodore, Schmidt, Miller, Brannstrom). Theodore and Brannstrom are most likely to emerge as the main guy.

In all seriousness, I watched him in the pre-season, and have been following his performances in the AHL (stat watching and reading reviews of his play) and I firmly feel he is the most skilled defenseman in the Vegas system and by next year he will not only make the team, but take over the top PP role almost immediately. Theodore is a decent PP option, but Brannstrom is on an entirely other level. He reminds me of Gostisbehere and I think his impact at the NHL level will be similar.

Besides Brannstrom, Nicolas Hague is one to keep an eye on. He scored an unheard of 35 goals in the OHL last year. He was drafted in the 2nd round and is a monster at 6' 6".

Personnaly, I own Brannstrom and watch him play a little bit and to be honest, I wouln't trade him for any other Dman on the Vegas roster as I think he will be the guy here very soon. Plus, they select him in the draft as their first Dman selected, so I think he will get all the opportunities to give credit to the staff of the team.
