Re: Been offered a trade
Going against the grain here and I'd take this. To break it down:
Schenn >> Fiala - Fiala's had a rough start and will improve, but his top end is where Schenn is now (60-70+)
Kapanen = Toffoli - Kapanen has been better as of late but once Nylander comes back, Kap could find himself bounced around the lineup. On the other hand, Kings players not named Kovalchuk or Carter have been ice cold. Way I see it is equal for this year, but Kapanen's youth wins me over.
Morrissey < Ristolainen - Risto's been special for the last few years since he was the Sabres only top D. Risto's going to lose powerplay time to Dahlin as he gets more comfortable in the league. Morrissey has shown he can run the PP, and as Trouba is likely gone this off-season, he'll get his time. Just to touch on Poink as well, he has the shorter turn-around time with already running the PP, but I'm not personally sure how sustainable it is given his career stats in developmental leagues.
To summarize you give your #5LW, #4 RW, #4D and get players who would be your #3C (Only because you're stacked there), #4RW, and #5D. So you slightly weaken your D and get a significant upgrade at C.
