    Default Real Life v. Fantasy

The Coyotes finished strong last year and are playing solidly this year and it can be traced back to the return to the line-up of Nik Hjalmarsson. It's no secret the Chicago blue line took a hit when he left and when he returned from injury to the Coyote blue line it helped solidify their back corps. Poor Nik is a perfect example of a guy who is such an integral part of a real life NHL squad but, unfortunately, it does not translate into fantasy relevance.

Could the fate of Arizona be traced back to the health of Anti Raanta?

The same can be said for Marc-Édouard Vlasic. Definitely a waaay better player in real life than fantasy hockey

Toews is another example of that - staying with the CHI connection.

Does Dahlin fall into this category? I have him and have been less than impressed. Granted he is 18 and first year in the league but I was hoping to see more from that PPP time especially since the first line in BUF has been pretty good this year. I also saw Risto taking reps on top PPP last game which makes me wonder if Dahlin will stay there or get bumped down/out of PPP duties.
    League settings:
    12 team keeper category league

    4 moves per week

    Roster:
    C: Trochek, Getzlaf
LW: Pierre Luc Dubois, M. Tkachuk, Landeskog, RNH
    RW: Laine, Tarsenko, Hoffman, Bailey
    D: Klingberg, Klefbom, Krug
    G: Luongo

Patiance is your friend here. Dahlin should be an awesome fantasy player, the question is when he gets there.

He will be more of a Doughty than a Karlsson.

Real life will hype up his fantasy value. He will be a solid, SOLID fantasy player. But will he be a guy that you keep in a 6 keeper league (think like one in my sig)...I don't think so. He'll have those yrs sprinkled in where he's a top 3 fantasy producing player (edit, I meant D-man, not player lol), but I do not think he's a Karlsson, Hedman, or Burns kind of player.

I think he's a 50-60pt guy who touches 70pts here and there, maybe he's more of a Hedman in that aspect....

Hedman in his last 302 games averages 61pts/82games
Doughty in his last 341games averages 51pts/82games

Hmmm...So he's gonna end up between a Doughty and a Hedman now that I kinda type this out.
