keep crosby or brazel

Standard yahoo scoring. 10 teams 6 keepers.
Keeping Kucherov, Kuznetsev, Panarin, Laine, and Holtby. Crosby will cost me my first round pick to keep. Brazel the 14th round. If I don't keep Crosby I have a draft pick in the first 6 rounds before another keeper takes a round. Brazel is a steal in the 14th, but how do I pass up on Crosby? His age and band aid boy status are the prime consideration. Any thoughts?

I would keep both Barzal and Crosby and look at dropping either Panarin or Kuznetzov.

Can you possibly redraft Crosby with your 1st rounder after keeping Barzal w/ your 14th?

The value of Barzal in that position is probably too much to pass over regardless of what the answers are for those couple quastions.

Barzal sounds like better value. 14th round -- that's the difference.
I think it depends on the settings though. Do you start all players? If so, then Barzal is the pick. He'll outscore the rest of the 14th round by 40+.
Crosby will outscore other 1st rounders (assuming 60 keepers) by 20+
Some of the other Yahoo cats might make up things tighter, but not by enough methinks.
If you start fewer rounds, and most of the guys getting picked in the 14th are bench players and basically irrelevant, things get a bit closer, but I still think Barzal is the guy.

Laine 7th, Holtby 10th, Kuznetsev 13th, Kucherov 15th, Panarin 16th. I won't know who is available in the first until keepers are set for the league

I like Barzal at 14th round. You can still get a good first rounder with the Crosby pick.
