Opinions about emailing owners about available players before the draft?

As in the commissioner builds a list of free agents? Or players available for trade from your team, or inquiry about players from other teams?

As audiopile noted, this is really vague. I'm trying to figure out a reason why this wouldn't be okay.

1. If it's the commissioner emailing you to make sure you get you list of keepers in, so they can put together the list of available players or make sure everybody has things done on the site, it's fine. I mean, that's literally part of the task of running a league.

2. If it's another owner asking what players you might have available for trade, once again, I think it's fine.

3. If it's another owner asking whom you plan to keep to try and get extra information, you can either let them know some information, give them some names you're willing to deal, or simply say you haven't decided or something.
