Colorado PP units seem to be:
Barrie-Andrighetto / Landeskog-MacKinnon-Rantanen
EJ-Yakupov / Wilson-Duchene-Kerfoot
This does not look good for Duchene's offensive totals... And no Jost on the PP in case you were expecting to see him there.
perhaps 1st PP... BUT with Mack as the #1C Jost would have to rock the NHL world next year to remove him from that role. Duchene is still there as well, so without a trade, you're looking at a #3 role, or #2 if Duchene and Mack roll on the same line.
Once Duchene is traded, Jost will quickly become the #2 and that's where he'll sit for the next few years, but teams always load up the PP1 unit and he should be on that almost immediately

Im not disagreeing on Duchene- totally agree- but isnt this bass ackwards? Im not a Duchene owner in any league (almost but the price was too high- lol- )- but shouldnt they be putting him in a position to succeed to maximize their return?? Seems crazy to me- Sakics been so insistent on a huge return- now hes going to knee cap his point totals aka his bread and butter. I understand wanting to ice the most competetive team but man- that franchise has the reverse midas touch right now. Everything they touch turns brown and mushy...
Sakic just isn't a very good GM. If he was, he'd make sure his coach is showcasing the trade chip he's trying to dangle in front of everyone. Having Duchene on the top PP over Andrighetto would be a very easy change to make and it would be better for the team IMO but it just seems like they don't want to do Duchene any favors and they actually want to push him down because he's not happy to be there.
Agreed. You'd think Sakic would do everything in his power to increase the value of Duchene, no matter what.

What a year and what a game MacKinnon is having. So dynamic out there and has improved vastly compared to last season. Easily a top 5 forward in points only leagues next season.
Uhhhhhhhhhhh did anyone notice Nikita Zadorov had 15 HITS in their 7-1 loss to LA???? Can you imagine owning that?
